Christina Mahan PMHNP-BC, APRN, MSN
Christina Mahan is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2022, King University with her Bachelor’s Degree in 2016, and she obtained her Associate’s Degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2012. She currently works full time as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the inpatient psychiatric setting, and also part time with residential substance abuse clients. She specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, psychotic disorders, co-occurring substance abuse, and trauma related disorders. She enjoys working with a diverse patient population and is comfortable treating individuals throughout the lifespan. Additionally, she expresses interest in research for the development of new medications, alternative treatments, and holistic approaches for various mental health diagnoses. She offers a well-rounded knowledge base and integrates her diverse medical experience to provide superb and tailored treatment plans to meet the needs of the individuals she treats. She has a great affinity for psychotropic medication knowledge, and implementation of current evidence-based practices. Her other strengths include her ability to perceive care through an artistic lens and tempering the abstract with science and experience. In her free time, she creates surrealist inspired acrylic paintings, reads science fiction and fantasy genre novels, and enjoys snuggling with her Sphynx cats. She also enjoys 90’s grunge music, has multiple tattoos, and a broad scope of useless trivia knowledge.
