Jackie Zgiet has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2010. She owns her own private practice and Dr. Francis Lebuffe is her supervising physician. She holds an Advanced Practice Nursing License in the state of Tennessee and holds a compact nursing license.
Jackie received a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Tennessee Wesleyan University, in Athens TN. She later pursued a Master's of Nursing Science specializing in Family Practice, from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate TN in 2010. Jackie has always been interested in the field of psychiatry and has seen the lack of mental health care within her community. This motivated her to return to college and she recently graduated with the Advanced Certificate of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Maryville University of St. Louis MO. Her goal is to combine her knowledge and experience in family practice and psychiatry to improve health disparities in her area while incorporating a holistic approach.
Jackie has personally dealt with depression and anxiety while also witnessing the struggles of family, friends, and patients. She brings a compassionate but practical forward approach to care. She believes each patient is an individual and that genetics plus past experiences shape the person we are today.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and hanging out with her cat Obie. Now that she is out of school she hopes to build a quaint private practice and do further research in psychiatry and is interested in the work of Carl Jung.
